The 5 Micron Sediment Cartridge is an industry standard size and will work with many RO units on the market. Often referred to as 10" x 2", this cartridge is an industry standard. The 5 Micron Carbon Block Cartridge is designed to reduce chlorine and condition the water prior to the RO Membrane. Chlorine is widely used by water treatment plants and removed by common carbon. However, a newer water treatment uses a chemical compound called chloramines, which requires special carbon to remove.

The activated carbon block filter removes 1 PPM chlorine for up to 2,500 gallons of water and conditions the water prior to the RO Membrane for up to six months. The chloramine filter cartridge has a high capacity to reduce chloramines, for up to 3,000 gallons of water at a flow rate of 0.5 GPM, with a greater than 98% reduction of 3 ppm chloramine.
